Where We Play

Our tournament regions.

We host and partner with events across three regions of South Carolina — bringing chess and Alzheimer's awareness to every corner of the state.

Region 1 · Upstate SC
Greenville & Spartanburg

Home base of the initiative. Tournaments hosted at local venues, schools, and community centers in partnership with the Upstate chess community.

Region 2 · Midlands SC
Columbia

The Midlands championship series brings the initiative to the state capital, with Alzheimer's Association speakers and awareness programming at each event.

Region 3 · Statewide
South Carolina

Our partnership with the SC State Scholastic Chess Championship places Alzheimer's awareness in front of student chess players from every county in the state.

Ongoing

Weekly retirement-home chess clubs.

These aren't on the calendar — they are the calendar. Every week our volunteers show up, set up boards, and play with residents. If you'd like us to start a club near you, reach out.

Anderson Chess Club

Active weekly sessions for senior residents and student volunteers in Anderson County — one of our longest-running programs.

Greenville Chess Club

Partner sessions across multiple Greenville-area retirement communities, pairing high school volunteers with residents for cognitive engagement through chess.

We'll help you set up boards, recruit volunteers, and bring a weekly chess program to a retirement community in your area. Get in touch.
